2. Weight and cutting methods
Weight Calculator estimates theoretical steel weight using steel density of 7,850 kg/m³ and the selected profile’s dimensions. Cutting Calculator uses the entered stock weight per foot, cut lengths, quantities, scrap rate and entered costs. Results are estimates; compare commercial weight with supplier or scale data.
3. Price and scrap estimate
The cutting estimate uses the app’s current calculation result. In Price Estimate, estimated total payment is calculated from entered/calculated weight × customer rate, plus additional charges. Cutting results also show leftover scrap and its value when those inputs apply.
4. Share a customer quotation
Open Price Estimate, enter party, product, quantity, weight, rate and any additional charges. Review the quotation preview, then use the image download/share controls or WhatsApp message option available on that page.
5. FAQ
Are calculated weights exact commercial weights?
No. Weight Calculator provides theoretical estimates. Actual weight may vary by product tolerance and supplier practice.
Where are saved estimates stored?
Saved estimates use this browser’s local storage on this device. Clearing browser data may remove them.
Can the app work offline?
The app shell may open offline after it has been cached. Features depending on browser sharing or uncached assets may still require browser support.
